Agent Biography

A native of Westborough, MA, Marilyn began her working life with the Selectmen, learning the ins and outs of permitting and zoning. Then, adventure called when a friend invited her for several months of backpacking through South America.

Upon her return, she took up new challenges with start-up companies, opening new businesses from the ground up. She moved into personnel recruiting, starting a new division for a national firm earning accreditation as a Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC), and distinction as a national top biller.

Marilyn put her personnel savvy to use in the public sector when she became the Personnel Director for Middlesex (MA) County, a position she held until she left to start a family in Nashua, New Hampshire; moving to seacoast in 1996.

The married mother of two, Marilyn makes her home in Hampton. While raising her children, Marilyn worked as a top-producing market researcher in the high-technology industry and ran a small antiques and collectibles business; active in the community, working on school and civic projects. She is a member of the Hampton Area Lions Club and serves on the steering committee of the Hampton Historical Society.

With her kids grown, she sought new challenges in the field of real estate. Specializing in commercial properties, she relies on a strong sales background, business experience, ability to understand her clients’ and customers’ needs, creativity, and problem-solving ability.

Real Estate Tip

Whether you are picking a property, mulling an offer, or settling on someone to represent you, Marilyn offers the same advice: write down the pluses and minuses of each option keeping in mind function and economic sense and follow your instinct. Bottom line, nobody but you knows what is truly important to you or what best suits your needs. A Realtor©can help you sort through the chaff and focus in, but the final decision has to be right for you.

Relocation Tip

Marilyn recounts that when she relocated to the Seacoast with her family and was researching towns she called school and town officials directly. She found them very approachable and generous with their time in answering all of her questions.

Favorite Portsmouth Spot

There are few spots on the Seacoast that are more tranquil and scenic than Rye Harbor State Park in the hour before sunset. Whether it’s sitting on a bench and looking out to the Isles of Shoals, climbing across the breakwater, beachcombing, or looking west across the boats in the harbor to see a glorious sunset, its always a special stop.
